However, metronidazole is not for constant taking. Practically every medical agent has side effects. If taking metronidazole, there may be also lost of appetite, dry mouth, metallic aftertaste in the mouth, sickness, vomiting, stool disorder, headache, skin pruritus, and eruption. All these symptoms are over after medicine withdrawal.
Sometimes, the metronidazole treatment causes excessive development of mycotic flora; so, if long taking of the medicine, it is better to get the prescription of antimycotic medicines (for example, Nystatinum).
Flagyl Contraindications
Contraindications of Metronidazole for pregnancy, nursing, central nervous system diseases, blood formation disorders. It is prohibited to take alcohol during treatment.
